The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston (UH) invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning in Fall 2019. Candidates with exceptional background and experience may be considered for the rank of Associate Professor. Particular emphasis is in the broad area of fluid mechanics and thermal sciences. Successful candidates must hold an earned doctorate in an appropriate field by the time their appointment begins. They are expected to establish a dynamic and internationally recognized research program, and to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Furthermore, they must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding independent research and show promise for excellent teaching, mentoring and entrepreneurship.
