Online Graduate Programs

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the University of Houston offers two online graduate degree programs:

UH Extend (FUlly online program)

The UH Extend online engineering programs are designed to serve a wide range of students, including recent graduates and experienced engineering or technical professionals, who are seeking a high-quality graduate education and the respected credentials of the Cullen College of Engineering.

All Master’s and Certificate programs under the UH Extend umbrella offer the same rigorous curriculum, coursework, and faculty as their on-campus counterparts. The only difference lies in the mode of delivery, which is fully online. These programs are structured for maximum flexibility, allowing students to complete their degrees from anywhere, with no on-campus or in-person requirements.

The UH Extend programs are also cost-effective and competitively priced. Tuition is $745 per credit hour with no additional fees:

  • A 30-credit-hour Master’s degree costs $22,350 in total.

  • A 9-credit-hour graduate Certificate program costs $6,705.
