Corrosion is a trillion-dollar problem for industry each year, and an important part of combating that issue is proper coating. Engineering covers for objects to render them with new properties is an area where our faculty excel. They research ice repelling coatings, corrosion resistant systems, functional coatings, and anti-microbial coatings to develop stronger, more lasting, and more resilient materials.
